Our Endowment
Why have an endowment?
The purpose of this fund is to provide for a growing pool of funds that will permanently sustain the mission of The Education Foundation and to provide donors with opportunities to make gifts in perpetuity. A consistent base of financial support that is not dependent on the local or national economy is needed not only to sustain the Foundation, but also to continually improve it and expand it as the number and quality of grant proposals continues to grow. Supporting all worthwhile projects will require more funds than can be collected in an annual fund drive.
Why should I give?
Your gift to the Endowment Fund will provide for both stability and growth in our ability to advance educational excellence in Rockport Fulton.
How will my endowment be managed?
Gifts will be professionally managed and administered with appropriate diligence, prudence and responsibility. The Foundation’s policy will be to preserve the corpus of the endowment and to limit distribution to earnings. Your gift can be specifically designated for a special focus, but unrestricted gifts will allow flexibility to allocate funds for their highest and best use at the point of need.
How can I give?
Pledges can be “paid” over a five year period. And, it is also important to note that your gift can take a variety of forms, such as cash, stock, property, life insurance, or other assets. Your gift may also be given to honor or in memory of someone special to you. Community in Art is a permanent endowment project created by local artists as a way for you to honor or memorialize a loved one.
